PBI organizes and hosts two programs each year that bring together CBF-funded and PILI-affiliated legal aid agencies to discuss pro bono program management best practices.
2007 PBI Agency Series
The first program in the series was held on Monday, October 1, 2007 from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at The Chicago Bar Association's Headquarters and is entitled, "Effectively Marketing Your Agency's Pro Bono Program and Opportunities." The program focused on topics including, the complete and effective use of www.IllinoisProBono.org, effectively using newsletters and e-mails, and promoting your program, opportunities and financial contributions through your agency's website. The second program in the series, which will be held on Monday, December 10th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., will focus on micro level strategies for delivering personal pitches of your program and delivering effective and useful trainings to firms and corporations. This program, also to be held at the CBA, is entitled, "Developing and Delivering Effective Presentations and Trainings for Law Firm and Corporate Pro Bono Attorneys." Click here to view the agenda.
