PBI Semi-Annual Pro Bono Forum

PBI organizes and hosts two programs each year that bring together pro bono leaders from law firms, corporations, law schools and legal aid agencies to discuss timely pro bono issues and share pro bono best practices.  The Fall 2008 Pro Bono Forum will be held from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Monday, October 27, 2008.  The Fall Forum is being held in conjunction with the CBA/CBF Pro Bono Week 2008 and is being hosted by The Chicago Bar Foundation at CBA Headquarters.

PBI Semi-Annual Agency Series

PBI organizes and hosts two programs each year that bring together CBF-funded and PILI-affiliated legal aid agencies to discuss pro bono program management best practices.  The theme for the 2008 PBI Agency Series is "Engaging Pro Bono Volunteers."  The second program in the series entitled, "Inspiring Commitment," will be held from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, September 22, 2008.

PBI Corporate Roundtable Series

The Corporate Roundtable Series provides corporate pro bono leaders with an opportunity to network, discuss the unique pro bono challenges facing corporate attorneys and to share best practices and strategies for successful pro bono programs. The second installment in the Corporate Roundtable Series will be on Thursday, August 21, 2008, from noon until 2:00 p.m. at GECC in Rosemont, IL. 

PILI Annual "Celebrating Pro Bono" Pro Bono Celebration

The 2008 PILI annual "Celebrating Pro Bono" reception was held on June 10th at the Harold Washington Library.  Save the date for the 2009 reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2009, at the Harold Washington Library Center Winter Garden Room.

PILI Annual Awards Luncheon

Each year PILI’s Annual Award Luncheon gathers more than 450 members of the legal community to celebrate the best aspects of the profession. Save the date for the 2008 PILI Annual Awards Luncheon on Thursday, December 4, 2008 at the Fairmont Hotel in Chicago.

PILI Alumni Program and Reception

PILI will host three programs each year designed specifically for our alumni that will be planned and organized by the PILI Alumni Programming Committee. The next program will be held in October 2008 - stay tuned for more details.
